TJ Broughton has always had an interest in videography, and from the age of fourteen he has been pursuing that interest. Wanting video production to be his first job, TJ began working with his father, Tom Broughton (a videographer of thirty years himself), in order to accomplish that goal. TJ operated his first camera at a wedding at age fourteen and shot his first independent wedding at age sixteen, twelve years ago. As TJ contemplated college he decided that he wished to continue video production as a career. To acomplish this goal, and help pay for college, TJ and his father established Spirit Video Productions in January, 2006.

When Spirit Video was founded, it had two goals: Provide its clients with excellent service and solutions to their videography needs, and to do so in a way that honors the Lord ("Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." Colossians 3:23)  Eleven years later this goal still guides the company.
